Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the application dated 08.02.2021 for the issuance of community certificate to the petitioner's children viz., *G.Vijayashanthi and *G.Vijayakumar that they belong to Kurumans(ST) community based upon the community certificate already issued to the petitioner's father's brothers son M.Raman and petitioner's father's sister's son P.Ramakrishnan, which was verified by the State Level Scrutiny Committee in Proceedings No.31458/CVIII/2008 dated 24.03.2014.

(Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.,) Heard Mr.V.Elangovan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.V.Sajeev Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2.By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The petitioner has come up with this writ petition for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 08.02.2021, for issuance of community certificate to his children, viz., *G.Vijayashanthi and *G.Vijayakumar.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the petitioner belongs to *Kurumans community and an application has been submitted before the respondent, for issuance of community certificate to his children, but no order has been passed so far. He further added that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner.

5.Mr.K.V.Sajeev Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on instructions would state that the application submitted by the petitioner is pending before the respondent and he is ready to pass orders in accordance with law.

6.In the light of the limited prayer sought in this writ petition and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matters, directs the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 08.02.2021, after affording ample opportunity to necessary parties, within a period of *Six Weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
