Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 12.07.2016 seeking for issuance of the family card and pass orders granting family card to the petitioner.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.
2.Heard, Mr.V.Gunasekar, learned counsel for the petitioner and also Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, who has taken notice on behalf of the respondents.
3.The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for a Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 12.07.2016, seeking for issuance of the family card and pass orders granting family card to the petitioner.
4. According to the petitioner, after his marriage, he had applied to the 2nd respondent for deletion of his name in the family card. On enquiry, the 2nd respondent deleted his name from his parent's family card. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application along with Deletion Certificate to the respondents, on 03.12.2010, for issuance of new family card. The Village in which the petitioner is residing comes under Chinnasalem Taluk. The petitioner has again made a representation on 12.07.2016 requesting the 3rd respondent to issue the family card without any further delay. Inspite of his request, till date, no action has been taken. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.
5. Mr.V.Gunasekar, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016.
6. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, would submit that the 3rd respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law.
7.Taking into consideration of the limited prayer, especially, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016 alone, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, only directs that the 3rd respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
8.With the above direction and observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
