ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No -II, Erode, to entertain the application filed by the petitioner in SR No.3848 of 2023 under section 156 (3) of Cr.P.C. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted

that the learned Judicial Magistrate No -II, Erode, has territorial jurisdiction to deal with the case falling within the jurisdiction of District Crime Branch, Erode. The learned counsel submitted that the total amount that is involved in this case is more than Rs.60,00,000/- and the offence that is alleged is under section 120(B), 405, 418, 420, 468 ,471 of IPC. 3.

In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No -II, Erode, to entertain the application filed by the petitioner by once again verifying as to whether District Crime Branch, Erode, comes within this jurisdiction and if so, shall deal with the application on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall represent the application before the Court below.

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
