Gazette on 20.03.1991 under Section 4(1) of the Old Act, the Declaration made under Section 6 of the Act in G.O. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a declaration that the entire land acquisition proceedings initiated under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 by the 1st respondent in G.O.Ms.No. 306 dated 05.03.1991 published in the Gazette on 20.03.1991 under Section 4(1) of the Old Act, the Declaration made under Section 6 of the Act in G.O. Ms.No. 269 on 26.05.1992, published in the Gazette on 28.05.1992 and the Award passed in Award No. 2/1994 dated 23.05.1994 by the 2nd

respondent in respect of the lands of an extent of 3.03 acres comprised in S.No. 411/1 and 411/2 Vilankurichi Village, Coimbatore North Taluk belonging to the petitioner as lapsed in view of the Section 24 (2) of the Right to fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30/2013)

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous and has made an endorsement to that effect in the bubdle.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives in this Writ Petition for further adjudication. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
