By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2016 submitted with request to disburse all terminal benefits and pensionary benefits payable to the petitioner with 12% interest per annum.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Helper on 23.10.1989 by the proceedings of the 4th respondent in Arni Municipality. Thereafter, without any blemish, he retired from service on 31.03.2015 as Electrician. The petitioner made several representations to the respondents seeking terminal benefits and pensionary benefits.
Finally, he made a representation dated 20.05.2016 to the 4th respondent requesting them to disburse his terminal benefits. Since no action has been taken on the same, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.
4. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who has taken notice on behalf of the respondents.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh representation along with a copy of this Order to the 1st respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. On receipt of the same, the 1st respondent shall consider and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
