O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to register the Sale Deed dated 11.08.2023presented by the writ petitioner for registration.

2. The petitioner states that he is the purchaser of the subject property more fully described in the present writ petition. The Sale Deed was presented for registration. The Registering Authority returned the document on the ground that the petitioner has failed to produce the original title document.

3. The learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, made a submission that the petitioner has not produced the title document and produced only the xerox copy of the title document. Therefore, the Authorities are unable to proceed with the registration.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the

petitioner is ready to produce the certified copy of the title document for verification. There is no impediment for the Registering Authority to verify the certified copy of the parent document and proceed with the registration by following the procedures as contemplated.

5. Accordingly, the petitioner is at liberty to submit certified copy of the title document and on such production of the same, the respondent shall verify the genuinity of the certified copy of the title document and shall proceed with the registration by following the procedures as contemplated, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
