O R D E R
The writ petition is filed to direct the 1st respondent to disburse the bill amount of Rs.9,13,014/- for the work executed by the petitioner pursuant to the work order in Z.O.IX.C.No5787/2025/5 dated 23.09.2022, on the file of the 2nd respondent, based on the representations of the petitioner dated 17.05.2024, 20.06.2024 and 17.10.2024.
2. The petitioner states that he is a Class-I contractor and engaged in contract work for the respondent corporation and highways department. Whileso, the 2nd respondent issued tender notification in Z.O.IX.C.No.5787/2025/5 in September 2022, calling for the tenders for "Annual Maintenance of Vertical at Junction of Dr.Radhakrishnan road and Royapettah High Road flyover in Div-119 and 121, Zone -9".
3. On 20.09.2022, the petitioner participated in the tender and submitted his bid. The petitioner was declared as a successful bidder and granted the work order on 23.09.2022, for a sum of Rs.9,13,014/-. The 2/5
petitioner states that the petitioner executed the work as per tender conditions without any defect and the same was also verified and confirmed by the respondents. Thereafter, the petitioner raised the invoice for a sum of Rs.9,13,014/- for the work executed by him. However, the respondents did not make the payment and therefore, the petitioner submitted representations dated 17.05.2024, 20.06.2024 and 17.10.2024. Despite the said representations, the respondents failed to settle the payment, hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
4. The learned standing counsel appearing for respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's bill amount would be settled within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

6. Under the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondents. This Court directs the respondents to settle the petitioner's bill amount of Rs.9,13,014/- within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
