PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2024, regarding cancelation of patta issued in favour of 6th respondent in Patta No.287 for property measuring an extent of 8 cents, comprised in grama natham Old Survey No.110/1A, New Survey No.287/27, situated at Kannapiran Kovil Street, Uthandi Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai - 600 119. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider his representation dated 29.06.2024 seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of the 6th respondent in respect of the property with an extent of 8 cents situate at Old Survey No. 110 / 1A, New No. 287/27 situate at Kannapiran Kovil Street, Uthandi Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai - 600 119.

2. According to the petitioner, the said property originally belonged to her grand father, Panduranga Naicker and he had five children including the petitioner's father and the 6th respondent. However, after death of Panduranga Naicker, the patta was wrongly issued in the name of the 6th respondent. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation on 29.06.2024 seeking cancellation of exclusive patta issued in the name of the 6th respondent and issue of individual patta in the name of the legal heirs of the Panduranga Naicker. The said representation has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2024 will be considered on its own merit within the time fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2024 and pass final 3/6
orders on its own merit within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the respondents 6 & 7.
