When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) filed the affidavit of the respondent. The relevant portion is extracted hereunder:

8.It is submitted that after completing of elaborate and detailed investigation, based on the statements of witnesses, material evidence on 22.12.2023. I have filed the charge sheet against accused and the same was submitted before the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and the same was taken on file vide E.filing No.CC.LTN20230002392C202400044 dated 05.09.2024.

2.It is seen that the investigation has been completed and final report has been filed before the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, rechristened as XIV Judicial Magistrate, Chennai. In the light of the above development, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the XIV Judicial Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, to deal with the final report that has been filed in Crime No.133 of 2023, within a period of four weeks in accordance with law.
