ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders for revision of scale of pay of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher as Rs.9300-34800 + 4200 GP in accordance with pay scale mentioned in the selection order issued for the petitioner with all consequential and other attendant benefits including payment of arrears of salary, in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 18.09.2020.

2. The petitioner has been working as Secondary Grade Teacher, with regard to his pay fixation there has been a grievance for the petitioner. In order to redress the same, the petitioner has given a 2/6

grievance petition to the 1st respondent Secretary to Government on 18.09.2020 and the same having been received by the 1st respondent was forwarded by the said authority by his letter dated 23.11.2020 to the 2nd respondent.

3. Though it has been forwarded to the 2nd respondent by the 1st respondent as stated supra, so far no orders have been passed by the 2nd respondent to redress the grievance of the petitioner with regard to the pay fixation and hence the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner who having reiterated the aforesaid would seek indulgence of this Court.

Heard Mr.S.Yashwanth, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents, would submit that if the request of the petitioner having been received was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent who would consider the same and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition and having regard to the said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, this writ petition is disposed of with the following orders:

That there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the grievance petition of the petitioner dated 18.09.2020 forwarded duly by the 1st respondent by his Letter No.16252/EE3(1)/2020-1, dated 23.11.2020 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
