O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 12.07.2023 for the grant of Maxi cab permit in respect of vehicle number TN-18/F-3598.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased a Maxi cab vehicle bearing No.TN-18/F-3598 from one Ettiappan and applied for fresh maxi cab permit. He also submitted an application dated 12.07.2023 seeking grant of permit. The petitioner appeared to have purchased the vehicle on hire purchase and plying the vehicle without proper permit. It is the case of the petitioner that though he sent a reminder to the respondent on 01.08.2023, still the application has not been considered on merits.

3. Mr.N.Naveenkumar, the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

4. The main grievance of the petitioner is that though he submitted an application seeking maxi cab permit on 12.07.2023, the same has not been considered by the respondent till date.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the application filed by the petitioner dated 12.07.2023 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
