PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to withdraw the case in C.C.No.64/2004 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Maduranthakam and transfer the same to any other Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet, Chennai. ORDER

No representation for the petitioner. The present petition has been filed to transfer the case in C.C.No.64/2004 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Maduranthagam, to another Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet, Chennai.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would contend that the accused in C.C.No.64/2004, was convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 494 and 498-A of IPC and was also sentenced to undergo Rigorous imprisonment for two years and pay a fine of Rs.10000/-. He would further contend that the appeal preferred by the accused in C.A.No.2/2014 was partly allowed and the conviction passed in respect of offence https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

under Section 494 IPC alone was confirmed. He also produced a copy of the judgment passed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Kancheepuram at Chengalpattu in C.A.No.2/2014.

3. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
