O R D E R

The petitioner herein is the estrange husband of the defacto complainant. Divorce petition been filed by the petitioner against the defacto complainant. In the said circumstances, the defacto complainant has lodged a complaint against the petitioner for offence 3(1)(zc) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act ), 1989 and 296 and 85 of BNSS Act. The same has been registered in Cr.No.20 of 2024 on 26.07.2024. The petitioner is before this Court to quash the FIR on the ground that the Special Act been abused by the defacto complainant who was found in compromising with her paramour.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) states that the complaint has been registered on 26.07.2024 been primafacie satisfied on the material given by the defacto complainant. The Investigating Officer will necessarily enquire the petitioner and act accordance with the document and evidence gathered in the course of investigation. 2/4

3. Recording the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of twelve weeks from today (22.08.2024). Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 22.08.2024 Vv To
