PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2024 for issuance of patta in respect of the property bearing Plot No.92 comprised in Survey No.29/1A, 31/2B Kizhanakarai Village, Pudiya Theru, Thiruvannamalai Taluk and district in favour of the petitioner.

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to consider his representation dated 25.07.2024 seeking issuance of patta in respect of property bearing Plot No.92, Survey No.29/1A, 31/2B Kizhanakarai Village, Pudiya Theru, Thiruvannamalai Taluk, Thiruvannamalai district.

It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased the above mentioned property from one Karuppan, S/o Chinnapaiyan under registered sale deed dated 29.09.2010 registered as Document No.9565/2010 on the file of Joint Sub-Registrar-II, Tiruvannamalai and has been in possession and enjoyment of the same for the past 15 years. The petitioner submitted a representation to 1st respondent on 25.07.2024 seeking issuance of patta in his name with copy marked to 2nd respondent and the same has not been considered by the respondents till date.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 23.09.2024 Index : Yes/No nr 3/4
