This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 11.01.2024 passed in W.P.No.22840 of 2010, whereby this Court, while allowing the writ petition, declared that the petitioner is entitled for wages and other attendant and monetary benefits excluding the amount already paid to the petitioner for the period from 11.09.1997 to 17.05.2009. 2.

The respondents filed an affidavit stating that the amounts that are due and payable to the petitioner in terms of the order passed by this Court were calculated, and an amount of Rs.8,83,210/- has been paid by depositing the same into the Bank account of the petitioner. The calculation memo is also filed as to how the said amount was arrived at. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is entitled to payment of interest at 10%, as the amounts that were paid to the petitioner were due as early as in the year 2009, and the same was paid only in the year 2025.

A perusal of the order dated 11.01.2024 passed by this Court disclose that there was no relief granted in favour of the petitioner for payment of interest as is being claimed by the petitioner. In the circumstances, this 2/4

Court is convinced that the respondents have already complied with the order passed by this Court. It is also further brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner was also extended the benefit of notional promotion. 5.

In view of the same, this Court does no see any violation of the order passed by this Court, much deliberated, except some delay in complying with the order passed by this Court. In the circumstances, this contempt petition is closed.
