ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 01.11.2021 as against the persons mentioned therein for commission of cognizable offences and to

investigate and take appropriate action against the said persons.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor (Pondy) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner owns 19.09% shares in the Company called M/s.East Coast Steel Limited; since the other share holders of the Company has created certain false documents by committing forgery and projected a false picture that the Company's property has been sold in a public auction; in this regard, a complaint has been given to the respondent police; even though summons have been issued after taking up the complaint for enquiry, so far no fruitful action has been taken; hence the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Public Prosecutor (Pondy) submitted that the enquiry has already been initiated and he requested a short time to complete the enquiry.

5. In view of the above submission of the learned Public Prosecutor

(Pondy), the respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and do the needful in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
