PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 483 of Cr.P.C., to direct to expedite the trial in C.C.No.178 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Poonamallee, Chennai - 56 within the time frame.

O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct to expedite the trial in C.C.No.178 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Poonamallee, Chennai - 56 within the time frame.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the sole accused in C.C.No.178/17 pending before the trial Court for the offences under Sections 417 and 419 of IPC. He would submit that the case is during the year 2016 and the case was taken up on file during the year 2017 and despite the lapse of two years, there was no progress in this case.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the case is posted for examination of witnesses and there are totally 7 witnesses in this case, prosecution will be able https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to complete the examination of witnesses within the period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.In view of the above submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Poonamallee shall complete the trial within the period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
