ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The allegation that excessive sand mining is being carried out and despite complaint no action has been taken does not appear to be factually correct in view of the memo dated 30.7.2025 of the
Assistant Director, Geology and Mining, Chengalpattu, placed before us by learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 3, which clearly shows that, on the complaint made by petitioner, inspection was carried out and it was found that quarrying activity was undertaken in excess of the permission granted and a memo has been sent on 12.7.2025 for initiating penalty proceedings. Therefore, no orders are required to be passed. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected interim application stands closed.
