O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents more particularly the 2nd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the property situated in Cuddalore Registration District, Koolanchavadi Post, Sub-Registration District, Tanur Village, in Grama Natham Survey No.48/1, New Survey No.8/2 to an extent of 21,958.56 sq.ft. and the property situated in Cuddalore Registration District, Koolanchavadi, Sub-Registration District, Tanur Village, New dry Survey No.171/3 and 0.18 1⁄2 cents.

2. In respect of property at No.48/1, New Survey No.8/2 situated at Tanur Village, Koolanchavadi Post, Cuddalore District being a Natham land, the petitioner seek for patta and in this regard the petitioner's power of attorney i.e. his mother Amirthavalli had given a detailed representation on 14.03.2022 to the 1st respondent District Collector and in order to consider the said representation and to pass orders, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition with the aforestated prayer.

3. Heard Mr.P.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, who having reiterated the aforestated would seek indulgence of this Court.

4. Heard Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate 2/4

appearing for the respondents who would submit that, the said representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided by the 1st respondent on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein and having regard to the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order:

That there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
