ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to submit the final report in accordance with law, within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint dated 31.12.2015 given by his wife, the second respondent herein, the first respondent registered a case in Crime 807 of 2015 as against the petitioner. Subsequently, the second respondent, has given a letter dated 4.4.2016 to the first respondent to withdraw her complaint preferred against the petitioner and the same was also accepted by the first respondent. However, thereafter, the first respondent has not taken any steps to file the final report. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to file final report in Crime No.807 of 2015 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
