The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.05.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324, 307, 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.225 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. It is stated that the petitioner was already been in custody with respect to another offence and had been granted bail and on the same day, the present First Information Report had been registered. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent of the offence. 3.However, let the learned XXII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, commit the case to the Court of Sessions and then the bail petition can be considered. It is also seen that the previous bail petition was dismissed on 07.08.2023. The petitioner may file a fresh bail petition after two weeks. If the papers are in order, the learned XXII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, may commit the case to the Court of Sessions by then. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
