PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to bring and produce the petitioner's wife named Manjula, aged about 39 years, W/o.Ramachandran, now under the illegal custody of the third respondent and set her at liberty before this Court.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) When the petitioner's wife went missing, he lodged a complaint on 18.08.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2, alleging that his wife was under the illegal custody of her brother / third respondent herein. Since, the respondent police have not taken action on the complaint, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the second respondent police will proceed with the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

3. In view of the submission the above submission, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the second respondent herein to act

upon the complaint lodged by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

5. In view of the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
