ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ Petition has been instituted for directing the respondents to grant emergency leave for 10 days for the petitioner's husband namely Pandiyan, S/o.Mani aged about 59 years, Convict No.2416, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison, Puzhal.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the prisoner availed emergency leave for three days from 28.05.2024 to 01.06.2024. Thereafter, again he filed an application seeking emergency leave.

3.This being the factum, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation or the contentions of the petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.08.2024, if not already disposed of and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
