ORDER

This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time for the arbitrator to pronounce the arbitral award by a further period of six months till 31.12.2025.

2. Till date, counter has not been filed by the respondents. However, the learned counsels appearing for the respective respondents Page No.1 of 4

would submit that copies of the voluminous documents pertaining to the accounts filed by the applicant before the arbitrator has not been furnished to the respondents by the applicant in the arbitration.

3. The learned counsel for the applicant, on instructions, would submit that the applicant is willing to serve copies of those documents on the respective respondents to enable the respondents to cross-examine the applicant's witness in the arbitration. The said undertaking given by the applicant through the applicant's counsel is recorded. However, this application has been filed only for seeking extension of time for the arbitrator to pronounce the arbitral award by a further period of six months till 31.12.2025. The learned counsels appearing for the respective respondents have not raised any serious objection for granting extension of time as prayed for in this application.

4. This Court is also satisfied with the reasons contained in the affidavit filed in support of this application as sufficient cause has been shown by the applicant for seeking extension of time. Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for, by granting extension of time for the arbitral Tribunal to pronounce the arbitral award for a period of six Page No.2 of 4

months till 31.12.2025. But at the same time, the undertaking given by the applicant before this Court to furnish all the documents filed by the applicant to the respective respondents is recorded and the same has to be complied with.
