ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation dated 14.08.2018 within a stipulated time. 2.The petitioner herein claims that he is the absolute owner of the property comprised in S.No.159/5 to an extent of 20 cents in Melathangal Village, Chetpet Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. Whileso, in the computer chitta the names of the unconnected presons were included wrongly and therefore, the petitioner was not able to get the electrical service connection. In such circumstances, the petitioner has given a representation dated 14.08.2018 to the authorities to rectify the mistake. Till date the said representation was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition is filed for the aforesaid prayer. 3.
The 4th respondent herein has filed a Status Report regarding the representation given by the petitioner. According to the Status Report, the names of Arumugam Gounder and two others were wrongly included in patta No.591 of Melathangal Village in S.No.159/5 during the UDR Scheme. Hence, the proposal has been sent to the third respondent on 21.03.2019 to delete the names of Arumugan Gounder and two others. The 3rd respondent has also caused notice to respondents 5 to 7 to explain about the wrong entry made in the register and the 2nd respondent is awaiting for their explanation. The 4th respondent states that as soon as the enquiry is completed, the error crept in the revenue records will be rectified.
4.In view of the undertaking and status report filed by the 4th respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the 3rd respondent herein to complete the enquiry process and pass appropriate orders, within a period of two months from today. No costs.
