By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition challenging the proceedings of the first respondent issued in G.O. (2D). No. 611 Revenue (Posting - I) Department dated 28.12.2015 and consequently, to direct the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for Retrospective Promotion https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

as Deputy Collector by including his name in the Panel of Tahsildar fit for Promotion to the Post of Deputy Collector for the year 2010-2011 in the appropriate place meant for Scheduled Caste candidate with all attendant benefits.

3. Though very many contentions have been raised in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, at the time of arguments, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already filed a review petition dated 9.2.2016 before the first respondent to review the order dated 28.12.2015 and it would be suffice, if a direction is given to the first respondent to dispose of the said review petition within a specified time.

4. In view of the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am of the opinion, it is not necessary for this Court to traverse the entire averments made in the affidavit in support of the writ petition.

5. Hence, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the review petition dated 9.2.2016 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
