This is an application seeking extension of time for passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal for a further period by one year. 2.

This Court, vide order dated 09.09.2016 in O.P.No.202 & 203 of 2016, had appointed Hon'ble Mr.Justice S.Rajeswaran, a retired Judge of this Court as Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the petitioner and the respondent. It is stated that if extension of time is granted for holding some more sittings, the arguments would be completed and the Arbitral Tribunal shall pass its final award. Since the mandate of the Tribunal has expired, the present application has been filed.

With the consent of both learned counsel, time is extended by six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for completion of the Arbitral proceedings and for passing the award. The parties are directed to co-operate with the Arbitrator for passing of the order as expeditiously as possible. 5.
