O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the private respondents 4 to 6 had trespassed into his land and damaged the well and other valuables belonging to him. Despite the complaint has been given as early as on 07.07.2022, no action has been taken so far. Hence, he has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to give protection to him.

4.The learned Government Advocate(crl.side)submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry has been initiated in C.No. No.1237 of 2022. The enquiry of the police reveals that it is a land dispute. However, the enquiry will be completed within a period of two 2/4

weeks and a closure report will also be filed soon.

5. Taking into consideration of the representation made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and also the nature of the dispute between the parties, I feel it is appropriate to dispose of the Criminal Original Petition with a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to complete the enquiry in C.S.R No.1237 of 2022, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and do the needful in accordance.
