ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pass orders on the representation dated 18.05.2024 seeking necessary entries / updation in the revenue records (online) and computer patta pursuant to the acquisition of lands by the 3rd respondent.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the property comprised in S.No.21/1A2 measuring an extent of 4308 sq.feet situated at Madippakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District was registered in favour of the petitioner vide Document No.1296/2008 dated 24.03.2008 on the file of Sub-Registrar, Velacherry. It is stated that revenue records inclusive of patta No.9729 was mutated in the name of petitioner. Thereafter, petitioner submitted representation dated 10.03.2010 seeking survey and demarcation of boundaries in Application RPT No.1529/2010 dated 05.03.2010. It is further submitted that as early as on 27.09.2023, proceedings 2/6

was issued by the Special Tahsildar to measure and survey the land. Thereafter, there was a communication dated 03.05.2024 calling the petitioner for an enquiry. Petitioner pursuant to the enquiry had submitted a representation dated 18.05.2024. It is submitted that despite the fact that more than one representation has been submitted and that enquiry is over, orders are yet to be passed, it is thus the limited request of the petitioner that appropriate orders may be passed by the respondents.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed after affording the petitioner and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to consider the representation dated 18.05.2024 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested persons/stake holders, including rival claimants, if any, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of 3/6

certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
