O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to call for the records pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Hosur, Krishnagiri District, in D.V.No.6 of 2014, and quash the Criminal Proceeding.

2. It is seen from records that the matter was referred to the Mediation and the parties have settled the dispute among themselves before the Mediation Centre. A report has also been received by this Court from the Mediation Centre.

3. Pursuant to the settlement between the parties, the marriage between the first petitioner and the defacto complainant was also dissolved by mutual consent by judgment and decree dated 02.07.2019 made in H.M.O.P.No.187 of 2018.

4. In view of the above development, no useful purpose will be served by keeping this petition pending and therefore, this Court is inclined to interfere with the proceedings.

5. In the result, the proceedings in D.V.No.6 of 2014, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Hosur, Krishnagiri District, is hereby quashed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
