By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to measure/survey the land comprised in Old Survey No.245/A3, New Survey No.245A/27A measuring an extent of 1974 sq.ft. situated at Nemili Village and Taluk, Ranipet District, bounded on South by Anna Salai, on North by Ponnusamy Reddy Natarajan Vagai vacant site, now with Saravanan East by Singara Reddy Veedu and West by Nagappa Valliammal Veedu and fix the boundary i.e. "Atthu Alathal" within a period of time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an application dated 2/6

09.04.2023 before the third respondent seeking to measure and survey the subject land and has also paid the appropriate fees, however, the same was not considered. Hence, he again submitted a representation dated 26.07.2023 before the third respondent seeking survey. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner once again submitted a representation dated 05.05.2024 before the respondents 1 and 2 seeking survey and the same is stated to be kept pending. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

On this being pointed out, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representations/applications dated 09.04.2023, 26.07.2023 and 05.05.2024, and carry out measurement/survey and fix boundary stones in the subject property and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner

5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would request that survey may be carried on 07.08.2025, which was agreed to by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with following directions: i) The respondents 3 and 4 shall consider the applications/representations dated 09.04.2023, 26.07.2023 and 05.05.2024 in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any and conduct survey on 07.08.2025. ii) Though facts have been set out extensively in the affidavit, this Court does not propose to deal with it, while leaving it open to the respondents 3 and 4 to call for any document/conduct enquiry, if any, while considering the applications/representations necessary for conducting survey of subject property.

It is also open to the respondents 3 and 4 to call for documents to satisfy itself of the petitioner's entitlement for requesting survey of subject property. iii) The entire process shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.

7. There will be no order as to costs.
