The Investigation Officer / the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing - II, Head Quarters, Chennai, to file a status report, as to the steps he had taken to secure the accused namely, M.C.Kalaimamani and his wife K.Lakshmi.

2.The Investigation Officer may keep in mind that, he is representing the police force of the State and if the defacto complainants make representations in Court questioning his credibility or caliber, then it would be a reflection of the entire police force of this State. Let him not put himself in such a position and understand the seriousness of the case. Let him also for a moment think about the plight of the unfortunate victims, who had been lured to part their hard and money for the two accused to spend as and how they like.

smv 3.If the two individuals could not be secured, then the Court would also have to observe about the nature of the investigation done particularly, since there are two petitions now pending to transfer the investigation from the respondent / the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing - II, Headquarters, Guindy, Chennai. When such an order and if at all such an order is to be passed, then simultaneously, the Court will also have to justify the transfer, not only because the transferee agency is thought appropriate, but the agencies from whom the investigation is transferred is deemed extremely incapable and insufficient. Let not those comments be drawn from this Court. 4.For filing the status report, list the matter once again on 14.12.2023 at 02.15 p.m.
