Prayer in Crl.A.No.208 of 2017 : Criminal Appeal filed under Section 374 of Cr.P.C., against the conviction and sentence passed by the Court of XI Additional Special Session Judge: Chennai/learned Session Judge for CBI cases relating to Banks and financial institutions: Chennai by judgment dated 24.03.2017, made in C.C.No.62 of 2003, convicting the appellant/accused-2 herein, to undergo 3 year Rigorous Imprisonment under Sections 120-B r/w 420, 419, 467, 471 of I.P.C and 13(2) r/w (1)(d) of P.C Act, 1988 and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) and in default to undergo Simple Imprisonment for 3 months; convicting the appellant/accused-2 herein, to undergo 4 year Rigorous Imprisonment under sections 420 of I.P.C and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) and in default to undergo Simple Imprisonment for 3 months, to undergo 5 year Rigorous Imprisonment under sections 467 of I.P.C and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) and in default to undergo Simple Imprisonment for 3 2/7
months; to undergo 4 year Rigorous Imprisonment under Sections 471 of I.P.C and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000/- (Rupeess Twenty Thousand only), (total fine amount imposed on the appellant is Rs.80,000/- (Rupees Eighty Thousand only) and the sentence to run concurrently.
