This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1387 of 2018 on the file of the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent police on instructions, submitted that already the trial has been commenced. So far, the prosecution has examined four witnesses on their side. Hence, this petition is liable to be dismissed.
3. In view of the above submission, after commencement of trial, the quash petition cannot be entertained. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitin is closed.
4. Considering the profession of the petitioner, the personal 2/4
appearance of the petitioner is dispensed with and she shall be represented by a counsel after filing appropriate application. However, the petitioner shall be present before the Court at the time of furnishing of copies, framing charges, questioning under Section 351 of BNSS and at the time of passing judgment.
