O R D E R

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks to quash the impugned proceedings dated 01.09.2016 of the first respondent / Chief Educational Officer, Namakkal, in and by which, the petitioner was transferred from the Government Higher Secondary School, Devanangkurichi, to the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Pallipalayam, of the same Namakkal District.

2. As he was aggrieved by the impugned transfer order dated 01.09.2016, he went on medical leave for three weeks and simultaneously, challenging the same, he has also filed the present writ petition. At the time of admission, this Court, by order dated 22.09.2016, has granted an order of status-quo. Thereafter, he has been continuously working in the same school. dated 01.11.2016, by considering the request of the petitioner, recalled the impugned transfer order dated 01.09.2016.

3. Therefore, in view of the subsequent proceedings, the prayer of the petitioner has become infructuous. However, learned counsel for the petitioner requested this Court to give a direction to the respondent to regularise the period on which he was on medical leave. It is for the respondent authorities to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, if any such representation is made.
