COMMON ORDER Heard Thiru.V.S.Ilamvazhuthi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Thiru.S.V.Durai Solaimalai, Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both the sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

3. The petitioners seek for a direction upon the respondent to consider their representation dated 31.8.2016. In the said representation, the petitioners seek for issuance of patta in their favour in respect of the land in question. It is seen from the materials placed on the typed set of papers that a notice of enquiry was issued by the respondent on 19.3.2015, calling upon the petitioners to appear for an enquiry on 26.3.2015 at 3 p.m. and produce the following documents :

1. Title deed

2. Sale deed/Settlement deed

3. Encumbrance certificate from 1943 to 2015

4. Patta

5. House tax receipts/ E.B. Card

6. Ration card;

7. Other related documents.

According to the petitioners, they have appeared for enquiry and a statement was recorded on 26.3.2015 and all necessary documents have been produced. However, till date, patta has not been transferred in the name of the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Since the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, merits of the allegations made by the petitioners are not gone into. Further, it cannot be readily verified whether the petitioners hasveproduced all the documents to the satisfaction of the respondent. In any event, the respondent should pass an order either way. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 31.8.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
