The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 30.06.2025 and 04.07.2025, requesting the respondents not to allow and not to order the transfer of employees from the other Local Bodies to the Information Technology Wing, Corporation of Chennai under the Rule 200 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023 without adhering to Rules 213 and 214 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that they have sent representations dated 30.06.2025 and 04.07.2025 not to allow and order the transfer of employees from one unit to another unit, and such representations are yet to be considered by the respondents. 3/6

4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representations of the petitioners within a reasonable time.

5. In view of the above submissions, without going into the merits of this writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 30.06.2025 and 04.07.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
