PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code to call for the records in C.C.No.210 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No II, Chengalpattu and quash the same in so far as the petitioner's concerned. For Petitioners :

The petition is filed to quash C.C.No.210 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No II, Chengalpattu in so far as the petitioners are concerned for the offences under Section 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 506 (i) of IPC r/w Section 34 of IPC.

2. Today, when the matter was called, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the parties have arrived at a compromise and the respondents/victims have decided to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and has no objection for quashing of the same on the basis of the compromise.

3. Both the parties are present today and have signed the Memorandum of Compromise. Mr. G.Ramesh, Special Sub Inspector, District Crime Branch, Kancheepuram, who has appeared before this Court has identified the parties. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No II, Chengalpattu pending. Hence, the proceedings in C.C.No.210 of 2014 is quashed. The said Memorandum of Compromise is taken on record.

4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.

2. It is reported by the parties that the fourth petitioner is no more and the said fact was inadvertently not brought to the notice of this Court.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner(s) produced the copy of the death certificate to show that the fourth petitioner died on 14.09.2022.

4. The said fact is hereby recorded and the cause title shall stand amended to show that the 4th petitioner viz. Kuppan @ Kuppusamy is dead.

5. Registry is directed to make necessary correction and issue fresh order copy forthwith.
