ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to act upon the representation, dated 15.07.2023, wherein, the petitioner has requested the official respondents to restrain the respondents 7 and 8 not to 2/5

prevent the petitioner and his family members from participating in the temple festival.

2. Heard Mr.M.Sathish Kumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 to 6.

3. The representation that was given by the petitioner was already acted upon and it has already been forwarded by the R.D.O, Vellore to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Katpadi and the enquiry is pending. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Katpadi to call the parties for an enquiry and to take a decision and to ensure that everyone is allowed to participate during the temple festival without any discrimination. The Police shall ensure that no law and order problem is created and everyone is allowed to participate in the festival.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed off with the above directions. No costs.
