O R D E R

The civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.P.No.1773 of 2023 on the file of the learned VII Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai.

2. When the matter came up for admission, I called for a report from the learned Trial Judge as to how long she requires to dispose of O.P.No.1773 of 2023 (originally presented in H.M.O.P.No.99 of 2022).

3. The learned VII Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai, has submitted a report stating that the respondent/husband has initiated H.M.O.P.No.99 of 2022 on the file of the Subordinate Court at Viruthachalam seeking divorce. On account of orders passed in a transfer petition, the said O.P. has been transferred to the file of the Family Court at Chennai and re-numbered as O.P.No.1773 of 2023. The report further states that the said O.P is pending from 21.06.2023 and it has been adjourned for several hearings. Thereafter, it was posted for hearing on 22.10.2024 for enquiry. Taking into consideration the load of cases pending before that Court, the learned Judge reports six months time will be requested to dispose off O.P.No.1773 of 2023. 2/4

4. Taking into consideration the report of the learned Judge, there shall be a direction to the learned VII Additional Principal Judge, Family Court at Chennai, to dispose of O.P.No.1773 of 2023 within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the civil revision petition stands ordered. There shall be no order as to costs.
