ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue writ of mandamus directing the nd respondent to renew the registration of the petitioner as a Class I contractor in the Public Works Department (PWD)/ Water Resource Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, based on the instructions given by the respondents produced the communication dated 23.07.2025, wherein the petitioner has been informed that registration has automatically expired since the petitioner has not participated in the tenders called for by the Department for two consecutive years. Therefore, the petitioner has been further informed that the petitioner has to make a fresh representation as per G.O.No.79, Water Resources (I.Spl.I) Department dated 01.11.2023 through online mode.

3. In light of the above development, it is left open to the petitioner to make a fresh application. On the contrary, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the communication, it is left open to the petitioner to challenge the same. Page No.3 of 5
