Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to inspect and demolish the unauthorized and deviated construction as per the plan permit of the building constructed in No.30/85 Thiruvalluvar Salai, Teynampet, Chennai 600 018 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2025 and 5.07.2025 within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner that the alleged illegal construction made

by the private respondents has encroached upon the petitioner's own property and despite various representations, no action has been taken, we are inclined to dispose of this petition with a direction to the second respondent to carry out spot inspection to verify the complaint made by the petitioner and remove the illegal construction, if any, found.

3. We make it clear that the Corporation shall issue notice to all the private respondents before taking action, if any, required.

4. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
