Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India,

praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 25.07.2024 in C.M.P.No.39/Bootlegger/2024/M1 under Act 14/1982 Annamalai aged about 54 years S/o Annamalai who is confined at Central Prison, Salem and set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent authority and thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken.
