ORDER
This petition is filed to direct the respondent to expedite the filing of final report in Cr.No.25 of 2024, dated 08.05.2024 on the file of the CCB, Tambaram, before the appropriate Court, within a reasonable time in the interests of justice.
2. Though the FIR was registered in Crime No.25 of 2024, dated 1 / 4
08.05.2024 for the offences under Sections 419, 420, 464, 465, 467, 468 and 471 IPC read with Section 34 IPC, the complaint was registered against the named accused, and even after one year, the respondent-Police is not able to conclude the investigation and file the charge-sheet. Therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by way of this petition.
3. Now, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the investigation in this case is in progress and prayed for time to file the final report.
4. Considering the above aspect of the matter, the respondent-Police is directed to complete the investigation and file the charge-sheet within a period of three months from today and on failure to file the charge-sheet, the matter would be ceased of by the present investigating agency and it will be transferred automatically to CB-CID, Chennai, for further investigation and conclusion.
