ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to fix the enquiry date and pass orders regarding genuineness of Kurumans (ST) community certificate of the petitioner in Certificate No.2640815 in ROC No.402/95 (A3), dated 28.12.1995, issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri, based upon the letter of the first respondent in Letter No.10265/CVIII/2020-5, dated 22.11.2021.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the reports of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Cell, Dharmapuri
District, Anthropologist and the Sub-Collector, Dharmapuri, with regard to the claim of genuineness of the community certificate of the petitioner have been received and they are to be placed before the State Level Scrutiny Committee for an enquiry and based on the same, further orders would be passed. He sought eight weeks' time to enable the State Level Scrutiny Committee complete the aforesaid exercise.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner shall extend his fullest cooperation for expeditiously conclusion of the enquiry. The said statement is recorded.
4. In the light of the aforesaid submissions, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent/State Level Scrutiny Committee to conduct an enquiry on the basis of the reports of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Cell, Dharmapuri District, Anthropologist and the Sub-Collector, Dharmapuri, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, regarding the genuineness of the Hindu Kurumans Scheduled Tribe
Community Certificate of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
