Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for 1/5
issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to dispose the petitioner representations dated 25.07.2022 and 01.05.2024 and consequently sub divide the property and issue individual patta in the name of petitioner. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to dispose of his representation dated 25.07.2022 and 01.05.2024.
2. According to the petitioner, the property situated in S.Nos.50/2B, 65, 105/1, 265 and 268 at Ezhuchur Village, Padappai, Oragadam via., Kancheepuram District 603 204, originally belonged to his grand father and after his death, the properties were mutated in the name of the petitioner's paternal uncle namely, K.Kannan and the petitioner's father Govindaraji name was erroneously not included in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 01.05.2024 to the respondents seeking patta in respect of 67 cents allotted to the petitioner's father in the partition. The said 2/5
representation has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.05.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and sixth respondent and other interested parties.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
