ORDER

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the respondent that trial in C.C.No.35 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate at Alandur, Chennai had progressed to a considerable extent and the accused is also actively participating in the said trial. Quite apart from cross-examining the witnesses, the petitioner/accused had also filed an application under Section 91 of Cr.P.C., seeking for production of certain documents.

2. In view of the fact that the accused has taken a conscious decision to participate in the trial proceedings, the present petition is dismissed, without entering into a discussion of the facts. A direction is given to the learned Judicial Magistrate at Alandur, Chennai, to make every endeavour to complete the trial on or before 31.01.2022. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. With the above said observation, the present Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
