The petitioner/A2 who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 342, 354, 323, 370(1), 370(2), 420, 506(ii) and 34 IPC, 1860 in Crime No.28 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused under the guise of obtaining jobs in abroad and they have colluded and collected money to the tune of Rs.6,50,000/- from the de-facto complainant and had cheated her. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is no direct connection between the petitioner and the de-facto complainant. He would further submit that the petitioner is only an introducer and he has not received any amount from the de-facto complainant. He would further submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. msm 4.Per contra, the learned Public Prosecutor (Pondicherry), appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner, along with other accused have colluded and they have induced the victim to pay a sum of Rs.6,50,000/- for obtaining jobs in abroad and had cheated the de-facto complainant. He would further submit that the said amount has been transferred from the account of the first accused to the account of the petitioner/A2 and therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required and thereby, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Taking into account the nature of offence and the said amount has been transferred from the account of the first accused to the account of the petitioner/A2 and custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
