This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tambaram to dispose the C.C.No.875 of 2014.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.875 of 2014 and the case has been kept pending for years together, without progress. He further submitted that the case has been periodically adjourned for the appearance of the investigation officer.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that there are only six witnesses in this case and except investigating officer no other witnesses have to be examined. It is his further contention that summons have been taken for the appearance of the Investigating officer on 25.11.2021 for his appearance on 14.12.2021 and the same was received and steps are being taken for his appearance on 14.12.2021.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Trial Court, after recording the evidence of the Investigating officer on 14.12.2021 and on future dates, shall conclude the same within a period of two months thereafter.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
