Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for entire records in pursuant to the proceedings issued by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.No.J3/824/20780/2023 dated 03.08.2023/ 11.07.2024 and quash the same and direct the 3rd respondent to provide the police protection to the petitioner with the reference of supported documents.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking police protection on the ground that the petitioner belongs to a political party having life threat to him. The impugned order, which has rejected his request indicates that there is no life threat to the petitioner and the police security round the clock is not required to him.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there is a continuous threat to the petitioner, who belongs to the political party. He seeks around the clock police protection. 2/4

3. This Court finds that it is not a fit case to provide police protection round the clock. If there is any threat to the life of the petitioner, he can give a complaint meaningfully and on receipt of the complaint, the police shall act in accordance with law.

4. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs. 24.09.2024 Index:yes/no ari To:
